ART 493H - Fine Art Practice Senior Project Units: 3 Students develop an original body of fine artwork, refining materials, processes, and concepts to build a professional portfolio that reflects artistic vision, personal voice, and readiness for public presentation and exhibition.
Prerequisites: B.F.A. major, senior standing. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Produce a portfolio-ready body of fine artwork that demonstrates mastery of materials, processes, and conceptual depth.
- Articulate a clear artistic vision through proposals, statements, and research.
- Plan and sustain a consistent creative practice leading to a completed professional body of work.
- Engage in peer critique and integrate feedback into portfolio development.
- Document and present work professionally for portfolio and exhibition contexts.
