NURS 312 - Health Assessment Units: 2 This course introduces the physical, psychosocial, and cultural assessment skills needed to integrate comprehensive health assessment into clinical judgment and nursing practice. The focus is on identifying and documenting expected and unexpected health assessment findings to inform clinical decision-making.
Prerequisites: B.S. Nursing major. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Apply age-related, physical, cultural, psychosocial, and situational factors affecting health and health assessment
- Prioritize clinical concerns based on history, physical assessment findings, and pathophysiology
- Apply nursing knowledge and assessment findings to determine individualized plans of care
