Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: 1. Recognize interdisciplinary concepts and approaches to evidence-based physical health and well-being.
2. Identify physiological, psychological, and societal factors influencing physical health and well-being.
3. Identify fitness principles and exercise program components to improve cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition
4. Understand the basic principles of effective and safe physical activity participation
5. Identify strategies and skills to cultivate self-awareness, inform decision-making, and elicit positive change.
6. Demonstrate the implementation of science-based health-related strategies to improve physical health and well-being.
7. Use appropriate exercise physiology assessments to evaluate their own and others’ physical activity competence
