Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Critically evaluate the role and relevance of epidemiology as a tool to address public health problems.
- Understand the historical and social context of epidemiology through literature and film.
- Classify the most commonly used epidemiologic study designs through conceptual and narrative perspectives.
- Demonstrate understanding of how basic epidemiological calculations describe a public health problem.
- Critique the ethical issues surrounding epidemiology practice.
