MATH 120 - Precalculus Units: 3 ; Breadth Area: GE-2 Trigonometric, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions. Real and complex roots of polynomials. Trigonometric equations, and basic identities; mathematical modeling. Linear equations and matrices. Must earn C- (CR) or better for GE credit.
Breadth Area(s) Satisfied: GE-2 - Mathematical Concepts and Quantitative Reasoning Prerequisites: Satisfactory score of 63 or higher on Mathematics Placement Exam or MATH 115E with grade C- or better. Credit Restrictions: Not open to students with credit for MATH 125.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental idea of a mathematical function and its properties.
- Students will solve and explain solutions to problems involving polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions and linear systems.
- Students will apply the ideas of polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions to solving and modeling real world problems and linear systems.
