TED 598 - The Arts, Movement, and Health Practices for PK-3 Units: 3 Theory, methods and the continuum of integration in teaching the visual and performing arts, motor and movement, and health practices in PK-3.

Acceptance into the PK-3 ECE Specialist Credential Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: 1. Develop an understanding and application of the theoretical foundations of the development of children in PK-3, including the use and role of the Preschool Foundations Framework, CCSS , California Art Standards, California Arts Education’s Framework, PE and Health Standards and Framework.
2. Promote appropriate experiences and opportunities for children to engage in effective expression through the arts for PK3.
3. Integrate visual art, dance, drama and music into appropriate content areas of the PK-3 curriculum.
4. Create and implement activities and lessons that develop fundamental movement and motor skills and build on the relationship between physical health, movement, and nutrition.
5. Create activities and experiences to support the development of the social and emotional well-being of the PK-3 child.
