MUS 355 - East Bay Jazz Orchestra Units: 1; Breadth Area: GE-E Major performance ensemble in the tradition of jazz big band. Field trip(s) may be required. Audition required.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Develop skills necessary to perform in large jazz ensembles and big bands.
- Focus on ensemble and sectional blend, intonation, rhythmic cohesiveness and stylistic authenticity.
- Perform major venues and concerts.
- Learn Protocols for student ensemble performances as well as program building in music education settings.
