REC 200 - Serving Diverse Populations in Hospitality, Recreation, Rec Therapy and Tourism Units: 3 ; Breadth Area: GE-D1-2; Social Justice Concepts of social equity, social justice, ability, ethnic and cultural diversity. Relationship between customers and HRT service providers. Focus includes inclusion and conflict management.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Describe the diverse populations who participate in the HRT field.
- Analyze their own biases and use of stereotypes and see issues and actions from perspectives that are different from their own.
- Identify how to support diverse populations in the HRT field including the assessment of the provisions provided for ADA at a specific event or program.
- Use conflict management skills in the workplace.
