GEOG 310 - Literature and Research Methods

Seminar in geographical and environmental literature, source materials, and research methods. Examination of seminal ideas associated with each discipline. Intensive exercises in both written and oral communication.

Prerequisites: Department consent and ENVT 101 or GEOG 125.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.

Identify and describe the major academic periodicals in the geographical and environmental disciplines;
Develop comprehensive search strategies for locating research materials;
Identify and explain seminal ideas and concepts in geography and environmental studies; and
Demonstrate enhanced presentation and writing skills.
