MM 621 - Screen Based Interaction Units: 3 Study of the process of designing screen based interactive prototypes within the contexts of apps, games, the web. Students use various tools, including simple scripting, to create prototypes and then test and refine them.
Co-requisites: MM 601. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Develop screen based interactive prototypes.
- Analyze and create interfaces. Design iteratively in a cycle of user testing.
- Understand paradigms, conventions, and metaphors from recent screen-based interaction design.
- Demonstrate familiarity with basic concepts of visual studies.
- Engage emerging screen technologies and incorporate them into their design practice.
