Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Synthesize knowledge from biomedical informatics theory and standard practices.
- Integrate knowledge of evidence based practices in health informatics to solve problems, such as patient safety and care practices.
- Apply technical skills to develop and evaluate information technology in a variety of healthcare settings.
- Evaluate the use of information technology to streamline and improve communication between providers and patients.
- Engage in processes of continual quality improvement of the healthcare system
- Demonstrate professional behavior ensuring patient privacy in the information age.
- Demonstrate information technology literacy and competency.
