ART 475 - Advanced 2D Practice Units: 3 An intensive study of the methodology and conceptual development of two dimensional art. Through topic-based assignments, material explorations and concentration on the creation of a personal art aesthetic, students will further develop their use of two dimensional media.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: ART 474. Prerequisites: ART 370, ART 472. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 6 units. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Produce paintings and drawings that intently incorporate historical and contemporary approaches to
- media, both conceptually and materially;
2. Evaluate and critique finished works and receive criticism from others;
- Further develop conceptual and material intentions in written and oral formats, generate research and apply these to the creation of finished works;
- Further develop an advanced individual working process based on class prompts, research and concept development;
- Safely handle and maintain materials, studio facilities, and equipment.
