HOS 210 - Meetings, Conventions, & Special Events Units: 3 Introduction to planning, managing, and servicing meetings, conventions, and special events. Two industry-relevant individual projects will include the completion of an RFP, BEO, Master Bill, and Room Diagram and Design utilizing current industry technology.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: HOS 100 and HOS 110. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Describe the scope of the meetings, conventions and special events industry.
- Identify characteristics of different types of meetings, conventions and special events.
- Summarize meeting organization and setups including all aspects of the event.
- Complete an RFP Project and corresponding BEO Project.
