TED 543 - Visual Arts II: Instructional Methods in a Single Subject Classroom

Units: 3
Theory and practice of instructional methodology in a single subject classroom. Application in the beginning weeks of a teaching assignment. Separate courses for art, Chinese, dance, English, French, Hindi, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies, Spanish and theater.

Prerequisites: Admission to Single Subject Credential Program.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Develop assessments appropriate to their content area, students, and in line with state standards and frameworks.
Integrate appropriate academic language use into lessons for their students.
Teach to students with all levels of English proficiency.
Teach to students with special needs.
