TED 542 - Visual Arts I: Instructional Methods in a Single Subject Classroom


Units: 3
Introduction to theory and practice of instructional methodology in a single subject classroom. Separate courses for art, Chinese, dance, English, French, Hindi, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies, Spanish and theater.

Prerequisites: Admission to Single Subject Credential Program.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Develop varied lessons and units in the content area appropriate to the developmental level of students in their classrooms.
  2. Develop lessons and units aligned with state standards and frameworks.
  3. Develop classroom management techniques appropriate to their content area and grade of their students.
  4. Identify, assess, and use different pedagogical techniques.
