TED 511 - Curriculum & Instruction: Visual & Performing Arts Units: 2 Theory, content, and methods of teaching visual and performing arts and methods of integrative teaching in the elementary classroom. Emphasis on problem based learning, integrative pedagogies across current standards and frameworks and sheltered instruction for English Learners/Emergent Bilinguals.
Prerequisites: Admission to Multiple Subject Credential Program. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Develop skills and knowledge to teach state standards in the visual and performing arts.
- Demonstrate appropriate content knowledge, pedagogy, and skills necessary to use arts integration in a variety of content areas in grades T-K - 12
