TED 508 - Curriculum & Instruction: Reading Units: 3 Theory, content and methods of a balanced, comprehensive program in reading, writing, and related language instruction in K-8 classrooms. Emphasis on research, phonemic awareness, phonics, word identification strategies, spelling, literature, state-adopted texts, application to English Learners and planning for instruction.
Prerequisites: Admission to Multiple Subject Credential Program. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Develop skills and knowledge to teach state standards in the visual and performing arts.
- Demonstrate appropriate content knowledge, pedagogy, and skills necessary to use arts integration in a variety of content areas in grades T-K - 12
