MGMT 314 - Leadership and Management Units: 3 Critical analysis of descriptive and normative theories of formal organization, including a consideration of organization structure, communications, planning, and control. Other topics include the effects of business environment, behavioral science, and globalization on management decisions.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Describe the purpose and functions of management in organizations.
- Apply theories of behavioral science to the practice of management and leadership.
- Explain the fundamental principles of organizing and recognize various types of organizational structures.
- Apply theories of organization, leadership, and power to informal structures such as social networks.
- Explain and apply the process of research in management science.
