ART 493A - Illustration Senior Project Units: 3 Students produce a body of Illustration work reflecting mastery of creative, design, and printing skills and processes that meet professional standards. Students learn various issues related to building a career in illustration.
Prerequisites: B.F.A. major and senior standing. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Produce a body of illustration work at a professional level;
- Demonstrate mastery of the key concepts and techniques of illustration practice;
- Envision a sophisticated piece or body of work, write and present a proposal, plan and execute a steady practice to realize the work and present it to an audience;
- Become acquainted with the specific fundamentals of building a career in illustration.
- Plan and display their senior project to the public.
