HDEV 419 - Contemporary Research Topics in Early Childhood Units: 4 Readings, discussion, and research on selected topics in early childhood from a developmental perspective.
Prerequisites: Junior, senior or post-baccalaureate standing. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: 1. Describe and discuss the major concepts and research findings on selected contemporary research topics in early childhood development (0-5 years).
2. Describe and discuss current theoretical frameworks and apply them to select contemporary research topics.
3. Apply these concepts and theories to examples of early child development observations, and evaluate academic and practical issues of current relevance related to these topics.
