GS 101B - Foundations of Success II Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E Builds on skills from GS 101A with teamwork, effective communication, and preparing for sophomore success. Activities emphasize community engagement, academic success, and career planning. Second semester of the Freshman Year Experience program.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Demonstrate effective communication and listening skills during team activities;
- Demonstrate civic/community engagement through completion of and reflection on a Freshman Day of Service project and the Community Read and its associated activities, all of which focus on issues of environmental sustainability, social justice, and/or diversity;
- Reflect on the strategies/skills and growth mindset that lead to success in accomplishing goals/tasks, overcoming challenges, and demonstrating self-agency;
- Explain how they will apply the skills and leverage the supports they developed for success during their sophomore year;
- Create an academic plan for their sophomore year.
E. Lifelong Learning and Self-Development Learning Outcomes
- develop intellectual, practical, and/or physical skills and abilities that will serve them throughout their lives;
- apply their learning to other pursuits within and outside of the classroom; and
