MLL 132 - Elementary American Sign Language II: Language and Arts


Units: 4 ; Breadth Area: GE-C1
Focus on the natural acquisition of American Sign Language conversational skills. Students will learn conversational language and visual gestural strategies to reinforce ASL fluency. Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship among the self, the creative arts, and deaf culture.

Prerequisites: MLL 131.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Develop physical, social and psychological skills and abilities that promote life-long fitness, health, and wellness
  2. Understand how the physical, social and psychological skills and abilities acquired through being physically active can be transferred and applied to other life domains
  3. Be able to select and engage in behaviors that promote life-long fitness and healthy living
