KIN 480 - Gender and Sexualities in Sport Units: 3 The relationship between sex, gender, sexuality, and sport. Topics include sport and intersectionality, the body, and homophobia.
Prerequisites: Kinesiology major. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify and analyze the links with sport and gender, sexuality, identity, and social justice.
- Critically reflect on sport as it intersects with gender, sexuality, race, and class.
- Analyze the ways sport and sport participants disrupt gender/sex binaries.
