MUS 414 - Contemporary Orchestration and Arranging
Units:3 Course devoted to fundamentals of instrumentation and arranging for contemporary band and orchestral instruments. The study of basic elements (range, transposition, timbre) of each instrument will be followed by examination and analysis of orchestration ‘problems’ and solutions from repertoire.
Prerequisites: MUS 212. Possible Instructional Methods:Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
