HIST 697 - Issues in History Units: 4 Readings, discussion, and research on contemporary and/or significant issues in history.
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 8 units when content varies. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Develop advanced knowledge in a specified topic or issue in historical study.
- Analyze historical argument, and the evolution of historical literature on the topic in question.
- Identify the role of historiography in shaping our understanding of a historical era or topic.
- Produce advanced and original analysis or project on the topic based on individual research and analysis of secondary literature, and observe the standards of academic integrity.
- Identify and orally present original analysis on the topic.
