ENVT 310 - Literature and Research Methods Units: 4 Seminar in geographical and environmental literature, source materials, and research methods. Examination of seminal ideas associated with each discipline. Intensive exercises in both written and oral communication.
Prerequisites: Department consent and ENVT 101 or GEOG 125. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Cross-listed: GEOG 310 Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify and describe the major academic periodicals in the geographical and environmental disciplines;
- Develop comprehensive search strategies for locating research materials;
- Identify and explain seminal ideas and concepts in geography and environmental studies; and
- Demonstrate enhanced presentation and writing skills.
