ITM 331 - Database Management Systems

Database concepts, design, systems, and administration. Topics include ER (entity relationship) modeling, Relational database, database design and development, SQL (structured query language), normalization of database tables, and database administration.

Prerequisites: ITM 300.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Apply ER-modeling skills to develop database models;
Utilize database management systems and SQL to insert, retrieve, update, and manipulate data;
Apply database administration skills to manage and improve database performance.
