EPSY 230 - Strategies for Lifespan Mental Health Units: 3 Using theory and research from mental health disciplines to develop strategies for maintaining psychological health and peak performance over the lifespan. The impact of relationships, self-concept, cognitions, emotions, spirituality, body image, and diverse cultural identities on mental health.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Apply basic principles of mental health disciplines as they relate to developing strategies for maintaining psychological health and peak performance over the lifespan.
- Understand concepts derived from human development and psychology both individually and in society.
- Describe (orally and in writing) how human diversity and the diversity of human societies influence our understanding of human behavior, individually and in societies, both local and global.
- Apply a personal wellness plan over the course of the quarter based on student’s understanding of the impact of relationships, self-concept, cognitions, emotions, spirituality, body image, and diverse cultural identities on mental health/wellness;
- Present results in essay.
