OTL 681 - Creating Digital Media for Online Instruction Units: 3 Making multimedia materials available in the online classroom with texts, images, sounds, videos, and animations. Focus on needs of students with accessibility challenges.
Prerequisites: All of: OTL 601, OTL 602, OTL 603, OTL 604. Co-requisites: OTL 606. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely Online. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify the different digital media types and relate the Section 508 accessibility guidelines to each media type.
- Practice using and compare some of the most popular tools for creating digital media.
- Integrate guidelines based on research and cognitive learning theory to instructional media development.
- Describe and implement the development process and consider how to get content created.
