MGMT 603 - Managing Complex Issues in Global Context Units: 3 Managers face complex cultural, economic, political, technological, and environmental issues emerging in an increasingly dynamic global context. Using lectures, case studies, and projects, this course develops systematic approaches to managing a shifting array of complex issues in a global context. Formerly BUS 603.
Prerequisites: Admission to MBA program. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Apply the basics of design thinking to come up with creative approaches to complex issues using innovative business concepts and models.
- Analyze dynamic patterns of interaction among institutional factors in major global regions of the world as they affect the ability of businesses to deal with complex issues.
- Analyze complex issues in a global institutional context using a stakeholder model approach.
- Apply contemporary business management knowledge to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
