PSYC 493B - Research in Industrial Psychology Units: 4 An advanced research course in which students design and execute an empirical research study related to industrial psychology. Includes data collection, quantitative data analysis, and presentation in an APA style research report.
Prerequisites: PSYC 300 and PSYC 370. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Use the scientific process for studying decision processes using strategies from psychological measurement.
- Generate testable research hypotheses using the literature and a factorial design.
- Use scholarly resources to find relevant scientific literature to relate to the study.
- Collect data using ethical procedures and organize data.
- Analyze data using appropriate statistical techniques and interpret the results.
- Present research findings in American Psychological Association format.
