Great works of dramatic literature from classic Greece to modern times compared with films based on them. Exploration of intellectual, social, political and personal issues raised in these works. Stage and film methods compared.

explain the influence of a changing world on artistic interpretation of dramatic literature.
address the portrayal of life’s problems on stage and in film.
discuss ideas, perspectives, and values clearly and persuasively while listening openly to others.
apply the lessons of dramatic works to contemporary issues of equity and social justice.
