ENGL 633 - Environmental Literature Units: 4 Global works of environmental literature.
Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Analyze and interpret recurring themes in literature of the environment and eco-sustainability in clear and cogent prose.
- Apply contemporary theoretical and critical approaches about ecology and the environment to global works of environmental literature.
- Use stages in the writing process to develop literary criticism for an academic audience that promotes environmental justice.
- Work independently with traditional and nontraditional research.
- Share and present ideas, insights, and literary interpretations of environmental literature in a collaborative, collegial environment.
