ENGL 630 - Women’s Literature Units: 4 Literary works written in English by women authors throughout the ages.
Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing and declared English major. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- analyze and interpret recurring themes in selected women’s literature in clear and cogent prose.
- apply feminist theoretical and critical approaches to global works of literature by diverse women writers.
- use stages in the writing process to develop literary criticism for an academic audience.
- work independently with traditional and nontraditional research;
- share and present ideas, insights, and literary interpretations of women’s literature in a collaborative, collegial environment.
