ART 493C - Photography Senior Project Units: 3 Students produce a body of photographic work reflecting mastery of creative, design, and printing skills and processes that meet professional standards. Students develop a professional portfolio and career documents, and prepare to transition to postgraduate life.
Prerequisites: ART 340C and ART 349A. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Produce a photographic body of work at a professional level;
- Demonstrate mastery of the key concepts and techniques of photography practice;
- Envision a sophisticated piece or body of work, write and present a proposal, plan and execute a steady practice to realize the work and present it to an audience;
- Develop materials (cover letter, CV, portfolio, et) necessary for successful advancement in the field;
- Anticipate and plan a course of professional development, including interviews, grant applications, competition entries, and graduate school applications.
