NURS 316 - Clinical Pathophysiology Units: 3 This course focuses on mechanisms of disease, pathophysiologic concepts and processes with emphasis on commonly occurring acute and chronic conditions and their clinical management.
Prerequisites: B.S. Nursing major, or BIOL 270 and BIOL 271 and department consent. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Explain the pathogenesis of selected diseases and conditions
- Describe the effects of stress and illness on the body.
- Correlate clinical manifestations and diagnostic findings with acute and chronic physiological alterations.
- Discuss treatment options to manage acute and chronic disease conditions
