NURS 363 - Health Assessment for Registered Nurses

Units: 1
This course is designed for Registered Nurses to build on previous experience and to enhance clinical assessment skills.

Prerequisites: B.S. Nursing: Post-Licensure Concentration major.
Co-requisites: NURS 360.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate competence in comprehensive physical and mental health assessment.
  2. Differentiate between normal and abnormal data and interpret data findings.
  3. Understand different/varying health assessment presentations across the lifespan and for diverse populations.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in use of health assessment tools.
