The role of marketing in new ventures. Focuses on learning a conceptual framework for understanding customers, designing appropriate marketing activities, making marketing decisions and addressing marketing problems in building a new venture.

Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, Entirely On-line.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate an understanding of basic marketing concepts in new venture settings
  2. Examine how marketing tools and processses can enable entrepreneurs to realize the full potential of their ideas.
  3. Analyze and evaluate appropriate marketing strategies and practices to achieve unique marketing objectives for early-stage companies such as customer acquisition and retention
  4. Construct a marketing plan for a new venture.
