MKTG 601 - Managerial Communication Units: 1.5 Managerial communication concepts, tools, and skills. Emphasis on building advanced oral and written communication skills in the context of managerial leadership. Apply communication tools and knowledge: self assessment; interpersonal, organizational, and intercultural; focus on the role of persuasive communication.
Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing and department consent. Credit Restrictions: Not open to students with credit for BUS 601. Equivalent Quarter Course: MKTG 6120. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Understand and apply the fundamentals of effective managerial communication and influence, including relevant theories of managerial communication for individuals and teams in modern multinational organizations.
- Critically analyze the role of ethics in the managerial communication in organizations.
- Apply cross-cultural and diversity awareness and skills appropriate in team building, managerial and leadership communication.
- Apply effective interpersonal communication skills in listening and adaption, teamwork, and managerial leadership.
- Apply effective written communication skills in documents such as memos, letters, proposals, emails, and reports.
