Current practice and pedagogical issues related to science education, focusing on current national and state standards. Emphasis on inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding and assessment of science while fostering classroom discourse.

Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: ABC/NC grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Explore and practice inquiry and other hands-on teaching techniques for science lessons.
Apply techniques for improving accessibility of science content and skills for all students, including those who are linguistically diverse.
Develop and demonstrate authentic assessment strategies for the science classroom.
Analyze curriculum for relevance and connection to mathematics and English Language Arts skills, indicating appropriate pedagogical strategies to implement such curriculum.
