NURS 306 - Clinical Pathophysiology for the Associate Degree Nurse Units: 4 Focus on mechanisms of disease, pathophysiological concepts and processes with emphasis on commonly occurring acute and chronic conditions and their clinical management and nursing implications.
Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in ADN program or completion of ADN degree. Possible Instructional Methods: Hybrid Only. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Explain the pathogenesis of selected diseases and conditions.
- Correlate clinical manifestations and diagnostic findings with acute and chronic physiological alterations.
- Compare treatment options to manage acute and chronic disease conditions
- Discuss the nurse’s role and responsibility for assessment of individuals experiencing acute and chronic health alterations.
