MATH 670 - Numerical Analysis


Units: 4
Rootfinding in one variable; direct and iterative methods to solve linear systems; finite difference approximations to solve partial differential equations, and additional topics.

Prerequisites: MATH 310 and MATH 330.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Apply definitions and theorems of numerical analysis.
  2. Apply the techniques of numerical analysis to solve problems.
