MUS 366 - Guitar Ensemble


Units: 1
Chamber ensemble playing repertoire for small and large combinations of guitars with occasional soloists. Field trip(s) may be required.  Audition required.

Equivalent Quarter Course: MUS 3542.
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 4 units.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Students will be able to perform on the guitar, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music.
  2. Students will be able to read and notate music.
  3. Students will be able to listen to, analyze, and describe.
  4. Students will be able to evaluate music and music performances.
  5. Students will be able to understand relationships between music, the other arts, and disciplines outside the arts.
  6. Students will be able to understand music in relation to history and culture.
