MUS 380 - Recital Class - Junior Units: 1 Preparation for and performance of a junior level musical recital.
Prerequisites: Minimum of one course from the MUS 261-269 series. Co-requisites: Minimum of one course from the MUS 361-370 series. Equivalent Quarter Course: MUS 3609. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Quickly identify rhythms and pitches and maintain pitch accuracy for application in performance or composition;
- Bring an enriched tone production with improved technical skills to the performance of their primary instrument;
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with other musicians in a performance context; and
- Integrate musical ideas, methods, theory, and practice, and communicate them to others clearly and persuasively, in classroom and performance settings.
