Current practice and pedagogical issues related to mathematics education that focus on national, state, and local standards. Emphasis on inquiry, problem-solving, conceptual understanding, and mathematical discourse.

Equivalent Quarter Course: TED 6010.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Analyze and reflect on current issues in mathematics education.
Learn strategies for making mathematics accessible to all students.
Work with colleagues to create lesson and unit plans.
Develop student capacity to present engaging mathematics lessons.
Review of current state and national documents that influence the teaching and learning of mathematics.
