SLHS 400 - Careers in Communication Disorders

Comprehensive review of career options after earning a degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. 

Prerequisites: SLHS 300, senior standing and declared major in B.S. Speech Pathology and Audiology.
Co-requisites: SLHS 304.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. List at least 5 different professional roles and titles in which they may be employed, with a BS in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
  2. Identify specific requirements, roles and responsibilities related to multiple career paths following an undergraduate degree.
  3. Understand the basic principles of professional spoken and written communication, as expected in healthcare and educational employment settings
