Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Explain the themes and narrative innovations of British fiction from the modernist period in literature to the present;
Discuss, analyze, and respond to 20th and 21st century literary novels;
Use different critical approaches to interpret themes, imagery, characters, settings, and narrative strategies in British novels;
Design innovative presentations about literature, its authors, contexts, and relevance to our world;
demonstrate improved ability to write informally and formally about complex novels.
