MGMT 460 - Healthcare Operations Management


Units: 3
Concepts, tools and methodologies to design and manage operational activities in a healthcare system.  Topics include operational metrics, quality management, process analysis, supply chain management, healthcare technology, inventory management, and pharmacy operations.

Prerequisites: MGMT 360.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MGMT 4660.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Construct measures to analyze healthcare processes.
  2. Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods and tools to analyze and solve healthcare operations problems.
  3. Design methods to increase healthcare operational efficiency using process improvement tools
