MGMT 364 - Global Supply Chain Management Units: 3 Concepts and tools necessary to configure and manage supply chains in a global environment. Topics include network design, strategic planning, supply chain coordination, resource allocation, capacity design, transportation management, material handling, and information technology.
Prerequisites: MGMT 360. Equivalent Quarter Course: MGMT 3645. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Develop a systematic framework for analyzing the behavior of large and complex supply chain networks.
- Compare and contrast the motivations of suppliers, producers, and distributors in ensuring supply of raw materials and availability of finished goods.
- Utilize information technology and various quantitative and qualitative approaches that reduce production, inventory and transportation costs, and improve service levels and profitability.
