MGMT 320 - Negotiation and Conflict Management Units: 3 Negotiation and conflict management are key managerial skills. This course examines a range of conflict settings to develop students’ skills in negotiation and conflict resolution. These include conflict mapping, distributive and integrative negotiations, third party intervention and managing cross-cultural conflict.
Prerequisites: Junior, senior or post-baccalaureate standing. Equivalent Quarter Course: MGMT 4520. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Describe concepts and theories of negotiation and conflict management
- Analyze conflict scenarios to select appropriate strategies for resolution.
- Design negotiation strategies and demonstrate skills in execution
- Modify strategies to account for cultural differences.
